Visualizing Protein Synthesis

In this thread, post your digital visualization of the processes within protein synthesis.  If you chose to create your diagram in Pages, attach the screenshot here as an image.  If you used Cacoo, you can share the link to your diagram, or embed it into the thread for all to see.  If it is a large diagram (and I am pretty sure most of them will be), it might be a good idea to both embed the image so we can see it...  and also link to the original as well, so we can study it in its full glory.

Remember, this diagram is intended for your use as a set of visuals/text that clarify and summarize the processes to you.  Even though others will no doubt benefit from your work...  this particular diagram is meant to bump your understanding of protein synthesis.

Along with your diagram, please reflect on your learning in the creation of your own set of graphics.  Even though this process too more time than scribbling something in a notebook...  I'm betting that your retention and deeper understanding will result.  I'd like to know your thoughts on how this went at the ground level.

I had to do two different pictures, because I couldn't fit all of them onto one. I got both ideas from a video Mr.Nash posted on his quiz. I learned a lot from the video and finally protein synthesis made sense to me. The pictures I made are colorful, which makes it stick in your head. Creating these pictures are a different way of leaning. The programs are kind of stubborn and annoying, it also seemed like it took forever to make. But, in the end there's a good product.

I learned a lot from watching the videos and making the pictures. I found out what mRNA does and tRNA. It helps to draw everything out so it can be cemented into your brain. I like to reflect in images, because pictures are easy to remember.

Miranda... this is but one tiny slice of the beginning of the process. Be sure to go back and add in transcription and translation. Including molecular models of the bases isn't necessary... we are looking for process, process, process.

From this assigment I learned a lot about protein synthesis. I learned what is function of tRNA, mRNA, rRNA.
I think this kind of work helps you to memorize things much better than just reading, because while I was doing this picture I probably looked up around 15-20 videos :)

I think this was one of the more harder things that we've done, but at the same time it helped me realize that there are somethings that I never knew and I had to look up and still are things that I need help understanding. I enjoyed doing this because I learned as I went like so many times in this class. Plus it was fun!!

This looks really fantastic to me! There are several things that work really well. However, one question... it appears that in assembling the amino acid strand, the (red-purple-blue) code seems to code for both the orange pentagon and turquoise hexagon. Also... having actual bases and amino acids represented would make this one perfect.

I think this really helped my fully understand protein synthesis. At first i was wrong on some parts but when i drew it out it all came together.
