In this unit, we covered everything from diets to the correct calories on a food label. We even brought in some chemistry when we discussed molecules like: water and sugar. In class we discussed sugar in terms of carbohydrates, and the various forms it has. Then we discussed lipids and how they can be polar and nonpolar. Then we touched on proteins. We even learned how to calculate the real amount of calories in a food item.
